The website for Diputación de Alicante’s Premios del Deporte

An awards ceremony takes place on a specific date, but its digital presence starts earlier. For this project, we developed the Premios del Deporte website for Diputación de Alicante, through a collaborator who coordinated the commission.

The edition presented here took place in 2019 and recognised sporting achievements from the 2018 season. The website brought together event and nominee information, with a feature allowing the public to express their support.

My contribution involved building the website and updating its content. The images on this page preserve visual references to the event.

Web design and content for a sports awards programme

Information about the event and its nominees

The website gave the awards programme and its nominees an online presence. Athlete profiles were a central part of the content, helping visitors understand their achievements and participation in the awards.

The work included updates during the nomination period. Project records include requests to correct information published in nominee profiles.

Public participation on the website

Alongside the information pages, we added a component allowing visitors to support nominees with a “like”. This provided a form of participation connected to the event.

The site also included a contact form for questions about the awards and reports concerning profile content.

The scope of my contribution

This work was carried out through a collaborator as part of the event website project. It documents my involvement in the website for that edition of the Premios del Deporte.

The value of this case lies in the deliverables: a website for the awards, information about its participants and a public participation feature. The images provide context for a project that forms part of my web design experience.

Planning a website for an event or awards programme?

Before designing it, we need to define what visitors should find and what they should be able to do: read the programme, view participants, register or make contact. Each function needs appropriate content and a clear scope.
